Micaceous Pottery

The McHorse family has been producing micaceous pottery for many years, beginning with Christine Nofchissey McHorse who started using micaceous clay and working with her husband, Joel Patrick McHorse's grandmother, Lena Archuleta of Taos Pueblo. Her son, Joel Christopher McHorse, has continued to practice pottery and blend it with sterling silver handles and accents. The micaceous clay used to make their vessels is sourced from the mountains of Northern New Mexico.
