Tri-Flower

Coil-built and hand-polished micaceous clay vessel, fired in a kiln with a reduction firing to create the black finish.  Three tufa cast sterling silver forms join to make up the flower handle.  The handle is attached using stainless steel Chicago screws with the stainless steel base that seats the screw being soldered to the sterling silver construct.  Leather washers cushion the mating of the metal to the ceramic lid making for easy removal and cleaning of the sterling silver.  Replace leather washers and snug the screws when replacing the handle.  Do not overtighten.
